That’s way too long and maybe I’ll be gone
So if it’s not here today
I’ll pretend it’s happening to me anyway

Hurry like mad to try and stay ahead
Of traffic and time still tickin'
But it does not pay to fool yourself that way

Leave the old past behind you
Don’t dwell on a thing that one time might have been
So stop, look around you
Friends out there and lots of things to share

Live life today, is all I can say
Forget the time, you can stay behind
Tomorrow’s there, maybe not for you
I’m just sayin’, but believe it’s true
Lots of good things now for you to try
Hop on that train don’t let ‘em pass by
So don’t forget or you may regret
Live life today it ain't over yet
